Women's Health- Pregnancy Options

You will each be given a girl from MTV's 16 and Pregnant and you will prepare a poster about that person's pregnancy choices. You will watch their episode and any other clips about them at MTV and then explain what good choices and bad choices they made in terms of their pregnancy.
You should cover the following topics-
How did they choose to raise their child- keep the child and raise the child with the father, have their parents raise the child, raise the child on their own their the help of their parents and the father, raise the child on their own, open adoption, closed adoption, ect.
What good choices did they make- work, school, relationships, parenting, ect
What bad choices did they make- work, school, relationships, parenting, ect
How difficult was their life after the child?
How did they feel about their decisions?
How do you feel about their decisions?

Mr. Brazill's Facebook Project

Each student will be an important person from World War II. You will be required to find all biographical information about your person using Biography Resource Center or the SCSD Encyclopedias.

Once you have all the biographical information about your person, go to My Fakewall and create your wall. See Ms. Gridley for help with an email account. Include friends and "enemies" in your profile. Create intelligent posts based on what you have learned about your person. See Mr. Brazill or Ms. Gridley for help.

Mr. Gates Human Rights Prezi Project

What is Imperialism? Who were the conquistadors? How did the Columbian Exchange impact the civil rights of the South American native people?

Groups need to complete a prezi using their vocabulary words. Their prezi will be displayed on Mr. Gate's Social Studies page and they will present to the class.

Requirements-
Create a prezi using at least ten vocabulary words, five images, one video, and a timeline. Initial storyboards/posters/bubble maps must be submitted to Mr. Gates.

Use your notes, textbook or SCSD Databases for information. See Mr. Gates, Ms. Faison or Ms. Gridley for help with research or creating your prezi!
